Nairobi is building up. Literally.
Drive through Kileleshwa, Kilimani, Lavington, Westlands or Riverside and you’ll see new apartment developments at almost every turn. Different names, different price points, different finishes… but sometimes, they can start to feel like variations of the same thing.
And as real estate agents, we think that’s where the conversation needs to change.
Buying a property shouldn’t be about finding an apartment that simply looks good in a brochure. It should be about finding one that actually makes sense for you.
When we take clients through a property, we look beyond the number of bedrooms and the price.
We ask: Does the layout work? Is the location convenient? Is there enough natural light? What are the amenities? How practical is the space? What does the surrounding neighbourhood offer? And if it’s an investment, who is actually going to rent or buy it in the future?
Because a beautiful apartment can still be the wrong apartment.
Maybe the location doesn't fit your daily routine. Maybe the layout gives you three bedrooms but very little usable living space. Maybe the amenities sound impressive, but you’ll never use them. Or perhaps the property looks like a great investment until you consider the actual rental demand.
These are the details that can easily get lost when you're focused on the excitement of buying.
At Proxima Real Estate, we see our role differently.
We’re not here simply to open doors and hand you a price list. We’re here to help you make a decision you’ll still be happy with long after you've signed the paperwork.
That means understanding what you're looking for, being honest about what works and what doesn't, and helping you compare your options based on what actually matters to you.
Because Nairobi doesn't need more people buying apartments just because they look good.
It needs buyers making better-informed property decisions.
